Constructive description:
IEC 60502-1 (Construction and tests)
- CONDUCTOR:
Flexible, annealed, plain copper conductor, class 5 based on standard IEC 60228 .
- INSULATION:
Cross-linked polyethylene (XLPE) according to International standard IEC 60502-1
- ASSEMBLY OF CONDUCTORS:
The cores are cabled helically.
- FILLER:
Optional. Extruded. Halogen free thermoplastic material, suitable for the operating temperature of the cable and compatible with the insulation and oversheath material.
- OVERSHEATH:
Extruded polyolefin type ST8 according to International standard IEC 60502-1.
Core identification is according to standard EN 50334.
All cores in the cable are black and have an inscription along the whole length of them, except one core which is coloured green/yellow (this core isn´t numbered).
The inscription is composed of marks repeated at regular intervals along the whole length of the core.
Each mark comprises:
- A reference number beginning at 1 in Arabic numerals;
- A dash which underlines this number and indicates the direction in which the number should be read. -

User´s guide:
It is specially indicated as a command or control cable for fixed installations in electrical distribution networks, tunnels, public access premises (hospitals, airports, malls, cinemas, schools...), places with fire or explosion hazard, high-rise buildings and, in general, whenever its special fire performance behaviour is required (i.e when an important fire risk exists or where it´s required a low smoke emission and corrosive gases in case of fire).
Its special fire performance protects public health or fireman works and avoid possible damages to electronic equipments.
It is suitable for fixed installations with complex paths where its flexibility allows an easier installation.
Suitable for indoor and outdoor (protected from direct and continuous exposure to UV radiation) installations, on supports in the air (brackets, clamps, cable trays, cable ladders...), in conduits or directly buried .
— Temperature ranges:
• Maximum ambient temperature: + 60 ºC.
• Minimum ambient temperature: - 30 ºC (static, permanently installed, protected against mechanical damage, without exposure to movement, mechanical damages, shocks, or vibrations).
• Minimum temperature for cable laying during installation and assembly of accessories: 0 ºC. -
